what is rkh’s “dream job”
For the nonce, I desire nothing more than a few shiny pennies starting yesterday. I am so unemployed it’s exacerbating my neuroma. But I would prefer to be a copywriter, editor, writer or decorated secretary followed by waitress, counter girl, maidservant or slave. In my dreams, I long to be a writer of books, a lover of men, a matriculant bound for an MA in Psychology or Psychoanalytic Studies (it exists) with the aim of complementing my legions of damask-bound poetry/”fiction” compounds with the discipline I love, in terms of the philosophy which informs them and rings so sonorous to the ear of the blogmaster. I’d also like a cottage on Penobscot Bay where I may clam in un-afflicted feet, ride in wooden motorboats and wreathe through poison sumac trees in a banana yellow calico shift to the tune of Enya’s China Roses from the 1995 album The Memory of Trees, a soundtrack of which I am no more ashamed than my own left foot.
